Shawn Athanasios teaches business communication as a full-time lecturer for the Mike Cottrell College of Business at the University of North Georgia. He also manages a personal and a career development coaching business for those looking to enhance their current profession, change careers, discover their deepest passions, communicate and manage conflict more effectively, achieve high levels of motivation, and find balance with their total self by offering a holistic approach to career and personal development.

Athanasios’ expertise includes practicing and teaching excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating strong abilities in designing, conducting and implementing training and educational programs with an emphasis on leadership and human development as well as adult learning theory and best training practices.

He received his master’s degree in interpersonal communication and conflict resolution under the umbrella of the psychology of communication from New York University (NYU).  He received his BA from California State University, Northridge in speech communication.
