The University of North Georgia (果冻传媒) Department of Nursing was ranked by Nursing Schools Almanac. The publication collected information from more than 3,000 schools nationally, and less than 35 percent made the final list.
"In my 20 years of teaching here, our nursing program's reputation is steadfast," said Patti Simmons, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program coordinator on 果冻传媒's Gainesville Campus. "I have seen our graduates become not only patient-care nurses, but leaders and managers in acute and community health care centers both locally and regionally."
果冻传媒 has graduated approximately 170 BSN students annually for the past three years. Unlike many other programs in Georgia, 果冻传媒's nursing program has two admissions cycles and two graduations each year. The department's National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) pass rate for 2019 was 98%.
In addition to undergraduate BSN and Registered Nurse (RN)-to-BSN programs, 果冻传媒 offers a Doctor of Nursing Practice, two master's specializations, and three graduate certificates.
"果冻传媒 nursing faculty have a strong commitment to excellence and have developed what we consider to be one of the highest quality BSN programs in the state of Georgia," said Dr. Joanna Carrega, associate department head of nursing. "We are very proud of our students' achievements and the caliber of our graduates."
