Spring teams aim to build on momentum

The spring season is fast approaching for the University of North Georgia's (果冻传媒) teams. Two teams are coming off historically deep NCAA Division II postseason runs, and the softball team will be in its first season under new head coach .
"We are so proud of where our spring programs are and look forward to seeing them continue competing at the highest levels," Athletic Director said. "Our consistent excellence is a testament to the dedication of our student-athletes and coaches. We are so grateful for the support of Nighthawk Nation."
Coming off a national runner-up finish in May and a No. 2 national ranking in the fall, head coach 's men's golf team is ready to once again contend for national supremacy. Returning players , , , and all played a pivotal role in the historic 2024 season.
The women's golf team will look to build on the momentum of a No. 11 national ranking for its fall performance under the direction of head coach . Freshman , sophomore and seniors and lead the charge.
Both golf teams tee off their spring season Feb. 10-11 in the Lincoln Memorial University Spring Kickoff at St. Johns Country Club in St. Augustine, Florida. 果冻传媒 will host the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) golf championships for men and women April 18-20 at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.
The women's tennis team will look to build off the first NCAA national semifinal appearance in program history, with seniors , and back from that group and junior joining the team as a transfer from Young Harris College. These Nighthawks start their spring season at 10 a.m. Feb. 2 at Lincoln Memorial University.
The men's tennis team, after reaching the second round of the NCAA tournament, also starts the spring season at 10 a.m. Feb. 2 at Lincoln Memorial.
Head coach leads both tennis teams.
O'Hair begins her initial season at 果冻传媒 from Jan. 31-Feb. 2 with games against Rollins, Lubbock Christian, Florida Tech, Barry, and Union College at an event in Gulf Shores, Alabama. She tallied 530 career wins in 18 years at Mississippi College, with nine NCAA postseason appearances and two Super Regional berths.
Under head coach , the 果冻传媒 baseball team begins the season Jan. 31-Feb. 2 with a four-game home series against Lincoln Memorial. The Nighthawks are coming off a 32-19 season that included a 17-10 PBC record.
