An Awesome Trend Continues-Another Commencement Speaker from PSIA

A heartfelt congratulations to pre-Law major Tracy Amaya on her selection as one of the two student speakers set to take the stage at next month’s College of Arts and Letters commencement ceremony.

Following in the pathway forged by Carlee Blankenship, PS’23 last December and Neva Garrett, PS ’24 this past May, this marks the third time in four ceremonies a member of the #PSIAfamily has had the honor of addressing her classmates from the podium at the penultimate moment in every undergraduate’s career.

As she prepares for her 7 December time in the spotlight, in Tracy’s own words:

"I feel incredibly honored and humbled to have been chosen as a student speaker for commencement. In my speech, I draw from my personal experiences of being a first-generation Latina college student. I hope that my speech will convey a message of perseverance, optimism, and resilience to our graduates and guests."

The entire #PSIAfamily wishes all the best for Tracy as she puts her undergraduate years behind her and begins her onward journey!
