Information for Marching Faculty
This information is for the faculty marching in the Fall Commencement Ceremonies on the Dahlonega Campus. You will enter the doors at the back of the Convocation Center on the bottom level by taking the blocked side road between the Convocation Center and the Alumni House. You may also follow the graduate check-in signs (grads will be on the event level). Once you check-in, our Marching Faculty Team will direct you to Room 118 on the event level.
- Please arrive 45 minutes prior to your ceremony.
- Faculty can rent regalia on the through November 1, 2024.
- Rental regalia will be delivered to the Bookstore campus location you select when ordering online and will be available for pick up approximately one week prior to Commencement.
- Lifetime fine quality regalia can also be purchased, but remember it takes eight weeks to deliver from the time of order. If you wish to purchase fine quality regalia, you can do so on the .
- Please note that bags will be searched prior to entering the Convocation Center. Please review the prohibited items list. Marching Faculty members are discouraged from bringing belongings as there will not be a place to put them. Marching Faculty members are not permitted in the grad line-up area.
Parking Information
The event parking map shows that you, as participants, should park at the Radar Ridge Rec Fields Lot (L64). A shuttle will be running to the Convocation Center. Any of the parking areas not reserved can be utilized (behind Newton Oakes, College Circle, etc.), but please expect to walk to the Convocation Center from any of these other locations. Be sure to allow for plenty of arrival time due to the high volume of traffic.
