62 and Older Students

Eligibility

Georgia residents at least 62 years of age who have been admitted to the University of North Georgia as a non-degree, undergraduate, or graduate student, and have met all USG and institution undergraduate or graduate admission requirements may receive a waiver of in-state tuition. Students are still responsible for books, supplies, and any laboratory fees.

Students using the 62 and Older tuition waiver must meet all USG and institution undergraduate or graduate admission requirements, and may not enroll in dental, medical, veterinary, or law schools under the provisions of this policy. See our website for Degrees and Programs offered at 果冻传媒.

Admission Types

Undergraduate Admissions

  • Non-Degree Seeking Applicant
    • For students who want to take courses for personal or professional development. These students are not working toward a degree.
  • Post-Bachelor’s Non-Degree-Seeking Student
    • If you already have a bachelor's degree, and you are not pursuing a second degree. You will receive academic credit for courses you take.
  • Non-Traditional Adult Student
    • For students who have graduated from high school five or more years from the start of your intended semester of enrollment, and you have fewer than 30 transferable semester hours of college credit completed, you may apply as Non-Traditional Adult Student. 
  • Transfer Applicant
    • If you are currently enrolled in a college program or have 30 or more transferrable credit hours you may apply for transfer admission.
  • Returning Student
    • You've attended 果冻传媒 before, but have been away for 3 or more consecutive semesters, including summer.

Graduate Admissions

果冻传媒 offers master’s and doctoral degrees, as well as graduate-level certificates and endorsements. Application deadlines for these programs vary by program. Please see our Graduate Admissions website and list of Graduate Degrees and Programs for more information on the application process.

Registration

Students can enroll as a regular or student in courses offered for resident credit on a “space available” basis.

Registration in the Fall and Spring semesters will open for 62 and Older students on the first day of classes. Registration for the Summer semester will open 3 weeks prior to the first day of classes. Students who wish to audit a course may only register for the course during the first week of class with instructor permission using the found in Banner.
