Military Science
The University of North Georgia (果冻传媒) Senior Reserve Officer Training Corps (SROTC) program educates, develops, and inspires Boars Head Brigade cadets to commission officers of character for the total Army, developing citizens for a lifetime commitment of service to our nation.
To accomplish this, Active Duty Army service members assigned to 1st Brigade, US Army Cadet Command offer Military Science courses focused on developing leaders that excel as part of the Senior Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) and Department of the Army. The Professor of Military Science (PMS) intent is to commission fit and intellectually curious and agile officers who are prepared to positively contribute to an Army in transition from a Global War on Terrorism focus to an Army focused on regenerating Combat Power and preparing for Multi-Domain Operations (Army 2030).
All members of the ROTC program are required to take military science courses and participate in physical fitness training as well as Cadet led labs and field training exercises. Upon graduation, newly commissioned 果冻传媒 officers are proficient at all Basic Officer Leader Course (BOLC-A) tasks and are prepared to develop specific branch competencies at BOLC-B and report to their first duty station prepared to lead Soldiers.
The Military Science department consists of Army Active Duty, National Guard, and Retired Service members, as well as Government Civilians and 果冻传媒 employees. Academic excellence is a top priority. Military Science instructors and staff provide scholastic coaching, instruction, as well as access to state-of-the-art facilities. The Corps provides a structured, disciplined, environment conducive to academic and leadership excellence. Cadets progress through four years of Military Science curriculum designed to build off of previous year knowledge and developed skills.
