NorthSTAR - 果冻传媒's African American Male Initiative
AAMI supports the educational and professional aspirations of African American/Black men at the University of North Georgia. The initiative was developed to help forward the University System of Georgia’s African American Male Initiative (AAMI), which is committed to significantly increasing the graduation rates and number of degrees conferred upon African American men.
NorthSTAR leverages the resources to provide African American men with identity development, cultural guardianship and experiential learning opportunities.
In order to participate in NorthSTAR, you must be the following:
- African American/Black Male
- Associate Degree-Seeking Student
- Bachelor Degree-Seeking Student
Mission
Our mission is to support and cultivate a community of scholarly leaders on 果冻传媒’s campuses, in life, and in their future careers. AAMI strives to contribute positively to the enrollment, retention, and graduation rates of African American/Black males on all 果冻传媒’s campuses.
