Dual Enrollment Admission Requirements and Application Procedures

High school juniors and seniors, including home-school students, have access to a number of opportunities for enhancing their high school curriculum and to earn college credit prior to their high school graduation.

If you are enrolled in an eligible Georgia high school, you may qualify to participate in the Dual Enrollment program. Georgia's Dual Enrollment program provides eligible high school students the opportunity to enroll in college or university prior to their high school graduation and to take courses which result in both college and high school credit. Tuition, books and mandatory fees are paid for by the Dual Enrollment program. Students participating in the program are not permitted to live in the residence halls and must meet the

Requirements for Dual Enrollment

You must be entering your junior or senior year of high school at the time of enrollment. Cadets must be at least 17 years of age at the time of enrollment.
Evidence in the transcript that student is on track towards the completion of the USG RHSC requirements and high school graduation.
You must be enrolled in an eligible public or private high school, including unaccredited home study or home school program. Students in unaccredited home school programs must also meet bachelor's degree admissions home school requirements and submit a Georgia Home School form.
You must present a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher in your coursework.
You must take courses from the . If you are an out-of-state student, you should consult with your guidance counselor on courses you may take at ��ý that will count toward high school graduation.
You must enroll in a bachelor degree program on the Dahlonega campus.

Apply for admission online using the or submit a paper application (PDF). All applicants will pay a non-refundable $40 application fee.

Ask your high school to send us your official high school transcript, either directly from the high school to us in a sealed envelope, or electronically through . If you took any college course, submit an official transcript from each institution you attended, even if you later withdrew. We must receive the transcripts in sealed envelopes directly from the institutions. You may not omit any institution you attended. If you're attending a non-accredited home-school program, you must either submit a High School Summary Form. Submit official SAT and or ACT scores through or .

Note: SAT or ACT scores indicated on a non-accredited home-school transcript or portfolio will not be accepted as official.

Army Regulations require verified proof of lawful presence in order to participate in ROTC and the Corps of Cadets. Lawful presence will need to be provided prior to an admissions decision being made for Corps of Cadets participation. Students who cannot provide lawful presence may be admitted to the University of North Georgia, but not as a cadet. We cannot evaluate your application for admission until you have submitted a valid document for your verification of Lawful Presence Documentation.
