About the Ranger Challenge
Ranger Challenge is the varsity sport of Army ROTC.
A Ranger Challenge Team is made up of nine cadets, two alternates and at least one female. They compete against other colleges throughout the nation in events such as: patrolling, marksmanship, weapons assembly, one-rope bridge, grenade assault course, Army Physical Fitness Test, land navigation, and a ten-kilometer road march. Ranger Challenge started at 果冻传媒 in 1987. The first team at 果冻传媒 was called Spurgeon’s Rangers, their advisor was Sergeant Major Spurgeon.
The team won first place in the brigade competition held at Fort Stewart, Georgia in 1988, 1989, 1990, 1993, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2009, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022. They placed first among all other ROTC teams at the United States Military Academy's Sandhurst Competition in 1997, 2001, 2009. Today the Brigade Competition is called the Bold Leader Challenge and is held annually at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. The 果冻传媒 Spartan Ranger Challenge Team has won this competition in 2009, 2014 and 2017.

Ranger Challenge Motto
How do you become a member of the elite Ranger Challenge Team?
Ranger Challenge hosts tryouts every semester. If you think you are up to the challenge, the tryout consists of a Ranger Physical Fitness Test, a Ruck March, a Combat Water Survival Test, and multiple rigorous team building tasks all completed over the course of a week. A Ranger physical fitness test consists of a five-mile run, two-minutes of push-ups, two-minutes of sit-ups, and pull-ups. If you meet the established standard, you become a team member.
Practices and Competitions
The team practices every week day during the semester, usually in the morning from 0500-0800. Practice consists of physical fitness activities followed by classes and practicing competition tasks. There is one competition per semester.

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy, Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 require higher education institutions to provide an that contain crime statistics and fire statistics for the three most recently completed calendar years, institutional policies or procedures for reporting crimes and current policies concerning the security of, and access to, campus facilities and residencies, as well as security considerations in the maintenance of campus facilities.
